"-28, 29,30! Ready or not, here I come!" Peter yells in a sing-song voice. You feel secure in your hiding place, he would never think to look in the goat pen. "There you are, _____! That was really easy, I think you need a better hiding place." You laughed and stood up." My turn to be it!" You and Peter have been playing Hide and Seek for about 10 minutes, and you had already realised why he always wanted to come over to your house to play. The only hiding place here is the goat pen. Oh well, you don't really mind. This game is fun and only Peter is ever willing to play with you.
After a couple more rounds, Peter got bored. "Hey, _____, do you want to help me feed Mr. Seagull and Hanatamago?" You agreed, delighted. You loved Peter's adorable seagull and thought that Berwald's dog was sweet. As Peter pulled fish and dog biscuits out of a cupboard, you thought about the first time you had met him, six years ago.
You were both 6 years old, Sealand had just become a micronation. Lukas was taking you to the park to swing, but you wanted to play Hide and Seek. You started crying and Peter, who was in another part of the park with Berwald and Tino, saw you. He walked over and asked what was wrong. "Lukas never plays with me!" you complained. "Well, I'll play with you," Peter offered. "Okay," you said hesitantly. "Follow me!" he called, already running off to another part of the park. You dashed to catch up with him. "By the way, I'm Peter," he said with a smile. "I'm _____," you replied, smiling back. Then the two of you began the first of many Hide and Seek games.
Back in the present, you realise that Peter is holding out a dog biscuit for you to feed to Hanatamago. You take it and crouch down. Petting the patient pup you give her the treat. As you stand up, Peter jumps up, too. "Hey, _____, I've got something to show you!" He leads you out to the goat pen. In the corner sleeps a little puppy that looks exactly like Hanatamago, but smaller, of course. And softer, you're certain. "Aww, it's adorable!" you cry, picking it up. "He," Peter corrects, "Hanatamago had him along with three sisters, but I only had permission to give you one. Berwald took the rest to other friends of his." The little puppy wakes up and nuzzles your hand with his soft, white fur. Suddenly he pushed with his nose against your hand and started sniffing, nibbling, and licking you with his little pink tongue. "Look , he doesn't even have any teeth! It's so cute!" Peter looks up. "I think he's hungry," he says, "Let's go feed him," Okay, you reply. "Hey, Peter? you say, as he's walking out ot the gate. "Yes, _____?" "Thank you for Iota, you say, naming the pup. You leant over to Peter and give him a hug. "You're welcome, _____."
